Sensitivity Reads: Writing Outside of Your Identity

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Now more than ever we are seeing the desire for more inclusivity in art—not only in who creates the art, but in its content. But what do you do when you are writing about a community that you are not a part of? This panel will explore the challenges and remedies that exist when writing outside of your own identity. We’ll explore best practices to avoid stereotypes and bias, and take a deep dive into the use of Sensitivity Readers.
